FLOE recently opened its doors to local STEM students for an exciting behind-the-scenes look at modern manufacturing, engineering, and automation in action.
The visit gave students an opportunity to experience firsthand how innovative products move from concept to production inside FLOE’s manufacturing facilities. Throughout the tour, students explored multiple stages of the manufacturing process, including product design, engineering, fabrication, automation technology, and final assembly.
From advanced robotic systems to precision aluminum manufacturing, students were able to see how technology and skilled craftsmanship work together to create premium products used by customers across North America.
“Our goal was to give students a real-world look at the opportunities available in modern manufacturing,” said FLOE. “Today’s manufacturing environment combines engineering, automation, technology, problem-solving, and creativity in ways many students have never seen before.”
The tour highlighted the growing role of automation and innovation within the manufacturing industry while also showcasing the importance of skilled trades, engineering careers, and technical education.
Students had the opportunity to:
- Learn about product development and manufacturing processes
- See automation and robotics in action
- Explore engineering and technical career paths
- Ask questions directly to FLOE team members
- Experience how ideas become finished products
As a Minnesota-based manufacturer with more than 40 years of innovation, FLOE remains committed not only to building premium products, but also to investing in the future workforce and supporting educational opportunities within the community.
FLOE appreciates the students, teachers, and organizers who participated in the visit and looks forward to continuing to inspire the next generation of engineers, manufacturers, and innovators.
